Lookers plc - substantial shareholder

The Board of Lookers plc ('Lookers' or 'the Company') was notified on Wednesday 8 October 2008 that the family interests of Mr Tony Bramall have acquired a further 397,000 Lookers ordinary shares of 5 pence each on that day at a range of between 33.5 pence to 34.0 pence per share.

Mr Tony Bramall and his family interests are holders of 38,590,576 shares representing 21.24% of the existing issued share capital of the Company. The issued share capital of the Company at 9 October 2008 is 181,670,573 ordinary shares of 5 pence each.

All shares are voting shares. One vote one share.
