                      CHANGES TO DIRECTORS' SERVICE CONTRACTS


Lookers plc ('Lookers') announces the following changes to the service contracts
of two of its executive directors.


Of the six executive directors of Lookers, all but two have service contracts
providing for a notice period of one year in the event of termination of the
contract by the Company.  The exceptions are Ken Surgenor, Chief Executive, and
David Blakeman, Director and Company Secretary, whose contracts provide for a
two year notice period.


The Board believes that it is appropriate to standardise notice periods for
executive directors at one year and has therefore agreed with Mr Surgenor and Mr
Blakeman that the terms of their service agreements will be amended so as to
reduce the notice period to one year.
