Grant of Outline Planning Permission

LPA Group Plc ("LPA" or the "Group"), the LED lighting and electro-mechanical system manufacturer and distributor, announced on 25 July 2012 and 11 October 2012 that it had applied for Outline Planning Permission for the construction of 24 houses on its Tudor Works site in Saffron Walden.

The Board is pleased to announce that the Planning Committee of the local authority has approved the grant of Outline Planning Permission for 24 houses on the Tudor Works site. LPA will now progress options regarding the sale of the site to a developer or house builder and make such announcements as are appropriate in due course.

Peter Pollock, Chief Executive, commented:

"This is very welcome news that the Tudor Works site, following a close consultation with our neighbours and our local authority, can now be developed to provide new homes in this residential area of Saffron Walden.

"Obtaining Outline Planning Permission was a major step towards the relocation of our electro mechanical business to the vastly more suitable Shire Hill facility, acquired earlier this year, and the retention of employment and our skilled team in Saffron Walden.

"This is only one of a number of objectives which we plan to achieve over the coming year. We look forward to advising our shareholders and stakeholders of progress in due course.

"The financial year ended on 30th September 2012 is likely to have comfortably exceeded expectations and the current year has started strongly."
