Directors' share interests
Mr J D Shaw
Mr J D Shaw, a director of the Company, has today advised that he obtained a
loan from HSBC Bank Plc in May 2004 to acquire 100,000 shares (0.60%) in The
North Australian Pastoral Company Pty Limited ("NAPCo") which subsequently
became an associated company of the Group. The Group currently owns 34.37% of
NAPCo. As security against the abovementioned loan, Mr Shaw pledged 263,440
shares in the Company.
Mr Shaw ultimately owned 302,607 shares (1.80%) in NAPCo. On 5 November 2008,
the Company announced that it had acquired his 302,607 NAPCo shares in exchange
for an issue to him of 389,577 shares in the Company, bringing his total
shareholding to 655,747 shares (1.26%).
Mr Shaw has further advised that the secured loan referred to above remains
outstanding and that the 263,440 shares in the Company remain in place as
security.
