DIRECTORS' SHARE INTERESTS
MR P E HADSLEY CHAPLIN
Mr  P  E  Hadsley-Chaplin, a director of the Company, has  today  exercised  his
option  over  41,765  shares granted at 75.50 pence per  share,  358,600  shares
granted  at 85.05 pence per share and 79,635 shares granted at 96.50  pence  per
share,  representing in total of 0.92% of the existing issued share  capital  of
the  Company. 272,753 shares have subsequently been sold at 340 pence per  share
to  satisfy  the cost of the exercise and the tax liability in relation  to  the
exercise of the options.

Mr  Hadsley-Chaplin's interests in the issued share capital of the  Company  are
now as follows:

Beneficial:  1,063,112 shares of 10p each
Non-beneficial:  57,237 shares of 10p each
Options:  670,000 shares of 10p each

MR P A FLETCHER
Mr  P A Fletcher, a director of the Company, has today exercised his option over
358,600 shares of 10p each granted at 85.05p per share and 117,500 shares of 10p
each  granted at 96.5p per share, representing in total of 0.91% of the existing
issued share capital of the Company. 272,753 shares have subsequently been  sold
at 340 pence per share to satisfy the cost of the exercise and the tax liability
in relation to the exercise of the options.

Mr  Fletcher's interests in the issued share capital of the Company are  now  as
follows:

Beneficial:  789,300 shares of 10p each
Non-beneficial:  51,361 shares of 10p each
Options:  632,135 shares of 10p each


ISSUED SHARE CAPITAL
The  revised  issued  and  voting  share capital  following  the  aforementioned
exercise of the options is 53,234,415 shares of 10p each.
