M.P. EVANS GROUP PLC (THE 'COMPANY' )

Placing of existing ordinary shares

Further to the announcement of 20 November, the board announces that yesterday
M.P. Evans  Malaysia Sdn. Berhad (' MPEM ' ) placed a further 259,049 existing
ordinary shares of the Company at 300 pence per share (the ' Placing Shares ' ).
This represents the entire balance of its shareholding in the Company.

The proceeds from the sale of the Placing Shares will be used to fund investment
in the Group' s new Indonesian oil-palm projects.
