Transaction in Own Shares and Director Shareholding

The Board of Macau Property Opportunities Fund Limited announces that on 12 December 2013, the Company purchased 5,000,000 of its own ordinary shares of US$0.01 each ("Ordinary Shares") at a price of 202.5p per share. These shares will be cancelled.

The purchase represents 5.65% of the Company's total outstanding shares in issue. Following cancellation of the shares, the issued share capital of the Company will be 83,500,000 Ordinary Shares.

Further opportunistic purchases of MPO shares may be considered by the Board at suitably attractive prices.

The Board of the Company also received notification that Sniper Investments Limited ("Sniper Investments") acquired on 12 December 2013, 500,000 Ordinary Shares in the Company at 202.5p per share.

Tom Ashworth and Martin Tacon, directors of the Company's Manager, Sniper Capital Limited, (the "Principals") have a beneficial interest in Sniper Investments. Tom Ashworth is also a non-executive director of the Company. Sniper Investments is therefore a connected person of both of the Principals.

Following this acquisition, Sniper Investments has a direct beneficial interest, and the Principals have an indirect beneficial interest, in the Company of 9,300,000 Ordinary Shares, representing 11.14% of the issued share capital of the Company.
