MAJEDIE INVESTMENTS PLC

The Company has been advised that as a result of share transactions completed on
15 March 2002, the beneficial holdings of two Directors of the Company are as
follows:

Sir John K Barlow's beneficial holding has increased to 3,010,642 Ordinary
shares of 10p each (representing 5.71% of the issued class of capital) and;

J William M Barlow's beneficial holding has reduced to 1,138,857 Ordinary shares
of 10p each (representing 2.16% of the issued class of capital).

The beneficial interests of Sir John K Barlow and J William M Barlow remain
unchanged.
