On the 12 January 2007, Mr Harvey McGrath, Chairman of the Company, sold
1,000,000 ordinary shares in Man Group plc at a price of 522.4213 pence per
share. Following this transaction Mr McGrath is deemed to be interested in a
total of 31,980,800 Man Group plc ordinary shares representing approximately
1.70% of the company's issued share capital.
