Man Group plc (the 'Company')

The Company was today informed that both Stanley Fink, Chief Executive and
Alison Carnwath, Non-Executive Director, purchased Man Group plc ordinary
shares in the placing announced earlier today.

Stanley Fink purchased 110,000 ordinary shares at 900 pence per ordinary
share.  His beneficial shareholding in the company now amounts to 4,917,420
ordinary shares.  He is also non-beneficially interested in a further 127,500
ordinary shares.

Alison Carnwath purchased 55,000 ordinary shares at 900 pence per ordinary
share.  Her beneficial shareholding in the company now amounts to 64,000
ordinary shares.
