Man Group plc today confirms that a Registration Statement relating to the
proposed Initial Public Offering of MF Global has been filed with the United
States Securities and Exchange Commission. This notice does not constitute an
offer of any securities for sale.
Peter Clarke, Chief Executive of Man Group, said: 'The official registration of
the IPO for MF Global is a further step towards the separation of the brokerage
business which we have said we expect to take place in the third quarter of 2007.
This is a logical next step in the evolution of our business and focus on
shareholder value.'
