This notification relates to transactions to be notified in accordance with DTR
3.1.4R(1)(a)

On 16th January 2008 the following share transactions were completed by PERSONS
DISCHARGING MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITY OR CONNECTED PERSONS. Man Group plc was
informed of the transactions on that date.

John Morrison sold to a counterparty his entire holding of 1,018,908 B shares of
US$ 1.40 each at a price of £0.709887 per B share before dealing costs. These
non-listed B shares were issued on 26th November 2007 in connection with the
Return of Cash to shareholders approved at an EGM held on 23rd November 2007.

Following the above transaction John Morrison's deemed interest in Man Group plc
ordinary shares of 3 3/7 US cents continues to be a total of 999,389 shares,
representing approximately 0.06% of the Company's issued share capital.

Christoph Moller sold to a counterparty his entire holding of 6,605,634 B shares
of US$ 1.40 each at a price of £0.709887 per B share before dealing costs. These
non-listed B shares were issued on 26th November 2007 in connection with the
Return of Cash to shareholders approved at an EGM held on 23rd November 2007.

Following the above transaction Christoph Moller's deemed interest in Man Group
plc ordinary shares of 3 3/7 US cents continues to be a total of 5,779,929
shares, representing approximately 0.34% of the Company's issued share capital.

The above sales were off-market private trades from Switzerland to the UK.
