Purchase of Own Securities

Man Group plc announces that on 7 November 2008 it purchased for cancellation 1,000,000 of its ordinary shares at an average price of 269.10 pence per ordinary share.

Since the start of the financial year on 1 April 2008, Man has repurchased 30,546,992 ordinary shares at a total cost of £148.49 million, giving an average repurchase cost of 486.09 pence per ordinary share.
