                         '&More' Card Investor Seminar


On the 1st September 2003, Marks & Spencer announced that its combined credit
card and loyalty programme - the '&more' Card - will go live nationally on 6th
October 2003.

At a seminar to be held today for institutions and analysts, Roger Holmes (Group
Chief Executive), Laurel Powers-Freeling (Chief Executive, Marks & Spencer
Money) and Alison Reed (Group CFO) will provide details on this national launch.

The investor seminar will commence at 9.00am and will be web-cast live on:

The presentation slides will be available on the Marks & Spencer web-site from
9.00am this morning and an archived web-cast from mid-day today.
