The following information is given subsequent to the announcement made on 18 November 2009 that Marc Bolland is to be appointed Chief Executive of Marks and Spencer Group plc at a time and on terms to be confirmed.

In accordance with paragraph 9.6.13 (1) of the Listing Rules, Marc Bolland has advised that he is currently a director of WM Morrisons Supermarkets plc and Manpower inc.  Within the last five years he was a director of Heineken N.V.

In accordance with paragraph 9.6.13 (2)-(6) of the Listing Rules, he has advised that he has no details to disclose.
