Dealing by Directors
•It has been confirmed today that on 30 June 2003 the following directors
acquired shares under the 'FreeShares' element of the Company's All-Employee
Share Plan at a price of 307.65p. These shares are registered in the name of
Lloyds TSB Registrars Corporate Nominee Limited and may remain in the Plan
as long as the director continues to be an employee.

•Vittorio Radice has today acquired 67,479 shares in his own name,
bringing his total holding to 132,745 shares. When Vittorio was appointed on
3 March 2003, he was awarded shares to the value of £665,000 in compensation
for the loss of outstanding Long Term Incentive Plans with his previous
employer. This is the first tranche of the award to be released, the second
and third tranches to be made in July 2004 and July 2005, subject to
continuing employment.
