Medoro Resources Announces Appointment of New Director

TORONTO, Thursday, April 1, 2004 - Medoro Resources Ltd. (TSXV/AIM: MRL)
announced today the appointment of Michael Ernest Beckett to the Board of
Directors. Mr. Beckett, aged 67, has extensive mining and corporate experience,
currently serving as the Chairman of each of Ashanti Goldfields Company Limited,
Endeavour Mining Capital Corp., W.B.B. Minerals Ltd., Clarkson PLC, Oxus Mining
PLC and London Clubs PLC. Mr. Beckett is also a director of Mvelaphanda
Resources Limited, Northam Platinum Ltd., Orica Ltd., Foreign and Colonial
General Income Growth PLC, Egypt Trust Limited, E.A.G.C Ventures Corp. Ltd. and
MyTravel PLC. In the past five years he has also served on, and resigned from,
the boards of AGIP Limited, AGIP Oil and Gas Limited, Biuprex Limited, Costain
Group PLC, Greycoat PLC, Iron Ore Company of Canada, Learning Technology PLC,
Monarch Resources Limited, North Limited and Zingruven Mining AB. No further
information required by the AIM Rules is to be reported. The appointment of Mr.
Beckett is subject to approval by the TSX Venture Exchange.

The company also announces that Martin Groak has resigned as a director of
Medoro.
