Board appointment at Marshalls plc

Marshalls plc announces the appointment, with immediate effect, of Bill Husselby
as a Non-Executive Director. Mr. Husselby is currently Chairman of Cogent
Elliott Group, the independent advertising agency. He is also a Board member of
Welsh National Opera.

Commenting on the appointment, Marshalls Chairman, Mike Davies said; 'I am
delighted to welcome Bill Husselby to the Board. He has built Cogent Group into
one of the largest independent agencies in the UK, and will bring a wealth of
experience in consumer and business-to-business marketing at a time when the
development of the Marshalls brand is a key thrust of Group strategy'.
