Disclosure of Interest

The Company has today been notified pursuant to the Companies Act 1985 that,
following a recent sale of shares, CGNU and Morley Fund Management Limited (a
subsidiary of CGNU plc) are to be regarded as having a material interest in
9,961,453 shares in Marshalls Plc, representing 5.97% of the issued share
capital.

The shares held are registered as follows:-
