                      Announcement of Interim Results


Further to the announcement made on 12th July 2000, Marshalls Plc will now
be announcing its interim results for the six months ended 30th June 2000,
on Monday 4th September 2000, not Tuesday 5th September 2000 as originally
indicated.  The reason for this change is to avoid a clash with other
companies within the sector announcing on that day.
