Marshalls Plc - Directorate

Following the appointment of Graham Holden as Chief Executive of the Landscape
Products Division in November 2000, the Group has been seeking to recruit his
replacement as Finance Director.

With effect from 1 June 2001, Ian David Burrell (44) will become Finance
Director and be appointed to the Board.  He is a Chartered Accountant and was
previously Finance Director of Cornwell Parker plc.
