Result of Class Meeting

At the reconvened separate class meeting of the 10% Cumulative Preference
Shareholders held today, 22 May 2001, insufficient votes were received to pass
the Class resolution giving the consent of the 10% Cumulative Preference
Shareholders to the granting of the power to the Company to make market
purchases of its own shares as set out in the Circular to shareholders dated
18 April 2001.
