Marston’s PLC has noted the publication by the Financial Services Authority of its clarification of the disclosure requirements for directors of listed companies who grant security over their shareholdings.
Marston’s PLC announces that it has been informed by David Thompson that on 15 July 1988 David Thompson granted an equitable charge to Barclays Bank plc over interests he holds in ordinary shares in Marston’s PLC to secure personal borrowings.

The relevant shares represent less than 0.16% of the total number of Marston’s PLC ordinary shares in issue and David Thompson continues to be interested in 0.44% of such shares.
