Disclosure of charges over shares by PDMR

Marston's PLC announces that it has been informed by Robin Hodgson that on 8 January 2010 Johnson Brothers & Co. Limited, a connected person, granted an equitable charge to Barclays Bank plc over its interest in ordinary shares in Marston's PLC as security for a loan.

The number of shares subject to this security arrangement is 42,000 representing  approximately 55% of the aggregate holdings of Robin Hodgson in Marston's PLC.
