Marston's PLC announces that it has today purchased for cancellation the
following number of its ordinary shares of 7.375p each on the London Stock
Exchange via UBS Investment Bank

Highest price paid per share:                                      340.50p

Lowest price paid per share:                                       331.75p

Volume weighted average price per share:                         336.2386p

Following the above purchase, Marston's PLC holds 31,112,339 ordinary shares as
treasury shares and has 272,691,769* ordinary shares in issue (excluding
treasury shares).


 * This is the correct figure having adjusted for an incorrect calculation which
overstated the previously reported issued share capital.
