At the Annual General Meeting of Martin Currie Portfolio Investment Trust plc
held on 21 May 2010, all resolutions were duly passed. Details of the proxy

Two copies of the full text of the special resolutions passed at the Annual
General Meeting have been lodged with the UK Listing Authority. These will be
available shortly through the UK Listing Authority's Document Viewing Facility,
which can be found at The Financial Services Authority, 25 The North Colonnade,
Canary Wharf, London E14 5HS.
The special resolutions passed were as follows:
1 To allow the company to make market purchases of up to 17,513,491 of its own
shares
2 To allow the disapplication of pre-emption rights on the allotment of equity
securities up to a nominal amount of £285,271
3 To adopt the new Articles of Association of the company.
The final dividend for the year was approved as 2.50p per ordinary share and
will be paid on 21 June 2010 to shareholders on the register on 4 June 2010.
