Headline - Appointment of a new non-executive director
The board of Martin Currie Portfolio Investment Trust plc is pleased to announce
the appointment of David Kidd as a non-executive director of the company, with
effect from 1 October 2005. David P Kidd (45) is Chief Investment Officer at
the private bankers Arbuthnot Latham & Co., Limited. A graduate of St. Andrews
and Oxford universities, he has over 21 years' investment management
experience. Previously, he was CIO and Deputy Managing Director at Chiswell
Associates, and Chief Investment Director at the Royal Bank of Scotland's
investment management arm. David is also a non-executive director of Shires
Income plc.
The company confirms that there are no further matters to be disclosed pursuant
to paragraph 9.6.11 to 9.6.14 of the Listing Rules.
