With effect from the conclusion of the annual general meeting of the Company held on 22 May 2012, the Board of Martin Currie Portfolio Investment Trust plc announced the retirement of Mr Peter Berry as chairman of the Company. Mr Neil Gaskell replaced Mr Berry as chairman of the Company with immediate effect.
