At  the  Annual General Meeting of Martin Currie Portfolio Investment Trust  plc
held on 8 May 2006, all resolutions were duly passed. The final dividend for the
year will be paid on 19 May to shareholders on the register on 5 May 2006.


The special resolutions which were passed at the Annual General Meeting have
been lodged with the UK Listing Authority. These will be available shortly
through the UK Listing Authority's Document Viewing Facility, which can be found
