Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc, on 15 June 2012, bought back 50,000 ordinary shares at a price of 125.25p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 60,000 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 104,493,171 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
