On 21 August 2014 Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 5,026 ordinary shares at a price of 171p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 2,245,534 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 102,247,637 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
