On 20 January 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 221,945 ordinary shares at a price of 165.88p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 3,972,970 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 99,610,232 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
