On 13 April 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 34,869 ordinary shares at a price of 184.98p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 4,061,091 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 99,522,111 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
