On 27 May 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 5,000 ordinary shares at a price of 179p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 4,447,058 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 99,136,144 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
