On 17 March 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 25,000 ordinary shares at a price of 180.01p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 3,442,761 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 100,140,441 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
