On 11 July 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 7,658 ordinary shares at a price of 201.42p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 5,676,383 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 97,906,819 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
