On 28 January 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 79,027 ordinary shares at a price of 169.16p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 2,438,246 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 101,144,956 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
