On 22 March 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 146,928 ordinary shares at a price of 181.69p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 3,607,885 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 99,975,317 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
