On 23 February, 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 50,000 ordinary shares at a price of 173.27p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 2,924,723 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 100,658,479 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
