On 24 February 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 40,687 ordinary shares at a price of 172.85p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 2,965,410 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 100,617,792 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
