On 1 June 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 33,253 ordinary shares at a price of 181.49p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 4,583,455 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 98,999,747 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
