On 2 June 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 6,143 ordinary shares at a price of 179.87p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 4,589,598 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 98,993,604 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
