On 21 April 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 12,016 ordinary shares at a price of 186p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 4,131,481 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 99,451,721 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
