On 15 July 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 3,124 ordinary shares at a price of 200.25p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 5,772,135 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 97,811,067 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
