On 18 July 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 43,408 ordinary shares at a price of 201.01p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 5,815,543 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 97,767,659 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
