On 25 July 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 5,358 ordinary shares at a price of 204.16p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 5,822,401 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 97,760,801 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
