On 8 February 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 40,894 ordinary shares at a price of 166.55p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 2,776,494 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 100,806,708 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
