On 3 March 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 3,439 ordinary shares at a price of 178.98p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 3,137,907 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 100,445,295 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
