On 4 April 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 49,551 ordinary shares at a price of 182.9p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 3,920,623 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 99,662,579 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
