On 5 April 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 14,506 ordinary shares at a price of 180.62p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 3,935,129 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 99,648,073 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
